Do I need to make a reservation?   

Yes. Please make online reservations prior to coming out especially if you are planning on coming out on a weekend. We often sell out on weekends and can not guarantee we will have availability.  In addition, we always give priority to our clients with reservations. So having a reservation is in you best interest and ours.

What time should we check in? 

Check in starts 30 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time.  So if your rental starts at 3:00 pm, you should arrive at 2:30 to get checked it.

What should I bring for check in?

A driver license ID for the person making the reservation is needed at check in. 

Do I need to sign a waiver?

Yes. Please sign your waiver the online before coming out. The link to the waiver can be found in your confirmation email.

Who can sign the waiver for a minor?

A minor's waiver must be signed by a parent or legal guardian. Grandparents, siblings, relatives, friends do not qualify to sign for minors.

Can I drink alcohol while boating?

No. We have a very strict no alcohol policy with our rentals. 

Can I bring my dog on the boat?

No. Unfortunately our insurance will not allow pets on our boats.  Please leave your furry friends at home. 

Do I have to wear a shirt during our rental?

Yes. We ask that you please wear a shirt under the life jacket in order to keep body oils and sunscreen from soaking into the life jacket. 

.What information is in the confirmation email?

There is a lot of helpful information in the confirmation. First is the data pertaining to your reservation time and the time that you can check in. Also there is a link to your waiver so you can sign them before coming out. Be sure to read it. It contains pertinent information.

Do I need to wear a life jacket?

Yes. We follow safe boating guidelines and wearing a life jacket is best practice. Also, our insurance requires it. So for your safety and ours, please wear your life jacket at all times while renting our equipment.

Can I fish off of the kayaks?

No. We only have recreational kayaks. We do not have fishing kayaks. In order to keep the kayaks clean for our next guests we ask that people only fish from our fishing boats and not from our kayaks.

What is included in my kayak rental

Included in your kayak rental is the kayak, paddle, life jacket. and an optional quick start kayak lesson for first time paddlers and anyone who wants it.  

What is included in my fishing boat rental?

Your fishing boat rental includes a 14' Alumacraft flat bottom Jon Boat, oars, life jacket, anchor, distress flag, and seat pad. If you rented the boat with a motor then the rental includes a 55 pound thrust Newport Vessel electric motor, batteries and a motor operation demonstration. You should know how to row a boat prior to renting.

 

What should we bring?  

Please bring a valid ID with you when you check in. Water shoes, or enclosed shoes you don't mind getting wet (please do not wear flip flops). A shirt is required under lifejackets. Bottled water is always a good idea or you may purchase some when you arrive. We also recommend bringing or wearing a hat or sunglasses to keep the sun out of your eyes. In addition, please wear clothing that is appropriate for the day's weather (ie. rain jacket if there is a chance of rain, extra clothing for colder weather and sunscreen for the hot days). We do reserve the right to cancel your reservation if you are ill prepared for the current weather conditions. If you do bring a towel or change of clothes, you may want to leave it in your car for after your paddle.

We actually have three locations. We have 2 locations on LaDue Reservoir and 1 location on the Cuyahoga river.  Please check out our location page for each address and phone number.
