LaDue South

Kayak and SUP Rentals

Breakaway Excursions also offers kayak and stand up paddle board (SUP) rentals at the south side of the beautiful 6 mile long LaDue Reservoir. This man-made lake is located in Auburn Township, just east of Solon, Ohio. It has plenty of quiet coves and small islands for fishing and exploring. Because this is the narrow part of the lake it is pretty well protected from the wind and usually very calm. The reservoir is part of Akron's drinking water. There is an abundance of wildlife and great fishing. The area is a popular spot for migrating birds. The sunsets at LaDue are truly breathtaking.

Trailer Location: The parking lot is on the west side of Route 44, just south of Taylor May Road and 1.5 miles south of Route 422 just before the bridge.
