There are some basic kayaking techniques and rescue maneuvers that can make your life a whole lot easier.
the "Boat Over Boat Rescue" is one of these skills and is a minimum prerequisite needed if you plan to kayak on large open lakes. This technique is used to empty the water out of a capsized kayak, get the kayak righted and get the paddler back into boat and ready to paddle as quickly as possible.
