Meetup, NEO Paddlers Network, New Organizer
Breakaway Excursions is proud to announce that we our officially taking over as the main organizers for a Meetup site known as NEO Paddlers Network. For those who are not familiar with Meetups, you should really check it out. They are groups of like minded individuals who get together for events. These events vary from book clubs and wine clubs to adventure clubs that go hiking and do outdoor sports like kayaking and canoeing.
The excuse of having no one to go out and do things with is no longer a viable excuse. Now you can join groups that are constantly planning and organizing fun events. Check it out at www.meetup.com.

Hello NEO Paddlers Network,
I would like to take a moment to thank Dave and Lisa from the Keelhaulers Canoe Club for all their hard work in organizing and running this meetup for the last 3 years. It’s great when people have the foresight to see what is needed and come up with solutions. This meetup rose out of the idea of connecting paddlers of all skills levels to networks which would give them paddling opportunities to improve their skills and grow as paddlers. Thank you for all your hard work.
I would also like to thank all of you for being a part of one of the greatest paddling Meetups around. Historically, this meetup has posted hundreds of events and introduced thousands of people to paddling sports. We are made up of whitewater kayakers, sea kayakers, recreational paddlers, stand up paddle boards and yes even old school canoers. Our skill level ranges from beginner recreational paddlers to expert paddlers across all paddling disciplines. This Meetup was set up as a network of organization to provide instruction and assistance through formal training, guided paddles and organize trips. I am proud to be a member of this meetup and hope that we can continue to provide expert training and assistance to help strengthen the paddling community in Northeast Ohio.
